ارتأينا في هذا البحث محاولة إيجاد الدور الذي تلعبه الصحافة في الحد من ظاهرة العنف. حيث تكرر وتفاقم حوادث العنف والشغب في الملاعب الرياضية، مؤثرة علي الحركة الرياضية في المجتمع. فمن خلال هذا حاولنا جاهدين دراسة أسباب وآثار ظواهر العنف عن طرق الدراسة العلمية التحليلية مع معالجة الأسباب التي تنقذ الملاعب والساحات الرياضية من شرور العنف. مبرزين فيه دور وسائل الإعلام. فلقيت رياضة كرة القدم اهتماما كبيرا من طرف الشعب والشخصيات السياسية المعروفة دوليا إضافة إلى عوامل أخرى، ساعدتها لتصبح من بين الرياضات المهمة والأكثر شعبية في العالم، ولكن رغم هذه الشعبية إلا أن لها تاريخ لا يخلو من أعمال العنف وهي أعمال منافية للأخلاق وما يرمي إليه الهدف العام من هذه الرياضة. ومختصر القول نقول أن ملاعب كرة القدم لا تكاد تخلو من مظاهر العنف، مما يؤدي إلى رفع مستوى الإثارة نفسيا وعاطفيا عند الجمهور مع احتمال حدوث السلوك العدواني عند الأفراد لا سيما إذا كان العنف الذي شاهده مبررا خاصة لدى الناشئين والفئات الشبابية بتقليد اللاعبين النجوم الذين يمثلون القدوة كالعنف الذي استعمله اللاعب الجزائري الأصل "زين الدين زيدان" ضد الإيطالي "ماتيرازي" في المباراة النهائية لكأس العالم ألمانيا 2006. وما حدث بين الجماهير الجزائرية والمصرية خلال تصفيات نهائيات كأس العالم. وقد ارتبط مفهوم كرة القدم بوسائل الإعلام الرياضية المرئية والمكتوبة والتي تعتبر همزة وصل يين كرة القدم والجهور الرياضي، اللاعبين، المدربين، المربين وظهور اختصاص في هذه اللعبة. وقد كان سبب اختيارنا للبحث هو معرقة مدى مساهمة وسائل الإعلام الرياضية بنوعيها في التقليل من حدة العنف في الملاعب ويعود اختيارنا لهذا البحث لأسباب ذاتية وموضوعية. تكمن في أن أغلبية الأنصار يولون اهتماما كبيرا بالإعلام الرياضي المكتوب والتتبع والقراءة المتواصلة لمعظم الجرائد والمجلات، بالإضافة إلى ذلك في كثير من الأحيان تعالج وسائل الإعلام المكتوبة منها ظاهرة العنف وتحاول التقليل منها فأغلبية المناصرين أكدوا ذلك من خلال الأسئلة المطروحة علي الصحفيين في هذا الصدد، فتبين لنا بأن جل المقالات التي تنتقيها الصحف تعالج وتصحح بغرض التوعية والتحسيس والعمل علي نشر الروح الرياضية العالية ومحاولة إعطاء طرق وحلول علمية حديثة وناجعة للتقليل من ظاهرة العنف ولكن للأسف هناك بعض المجلات والجرائد تحسبها موضوعا شيقا تستهوي به الجماهير دون مبدأ هادف. هذا ما سيتم التطرق إليه أكثر خلال هذا المقال.
