|a في وقتنا الراهن ، تعتبر القدس قضية وأكبر إشكالية تواجهها القضية الفلسطينية في إطار الصراع العربي الصهيوني ، حيث هناك دور كبير لتيار الأصوليين اليهود المتحالفين مع الأصوليين البروتستانت في الداخل الأمريكي ، استغلوا الأحداث الدرامية ل11/سبتمبر 2001 للإنتقال من مجرد التخطيط لبناء الهيكل والإنتظار إلى الفعل والتطبيق ،نظرا للظروف المواتية بعد هده الأحداث ، ووصول نخبة أصولية مؤمنة بالأفكار الصهيونية المسيحية ، تعتبر أفكارها خطيرة على القدس والمسجد الأقصى .عبر خطوات متباعدة زمنيا بدايتها نقل السفارة الأمريكية للقدس ونهايتها بناء الهيكل على أنقاض القدس والمسجد الأقصى.
