المستخلص: Objective: The main objective of research study is to assess the side effects, symptom response and quality of life among schizophrenic patients on long acting anti-psychotic medication such as fluphenazine, zuclopenthixol and flupentixol. Methodology: The study design is based on prospective hospital base investigation. A number of 80 patients were selected randomly from a grand total coverage of all schizophrenic patients during one month in Al-Tijani Al Mahi hospital. The data collection and technique adopted for data analysis consist of three parameter PANSS, GASS and quality of life. RESULTS: Fluphenazine is the most commonly used among long acting antipsychotic. Most patients have low and average PANSS result. Most patients have absent/mild and moderate side effets. There were no severe side effects. Most patients have good quality of life. CONCLUSION: The use of long acting antipsychotic such as fluphenazine, zuclopenthixol and flupentixol for schizophrenic patient produced safe, efficacy and symptomatically stable result, which are associated with absent/mild side effects, low/average PANSS and also good quality. Results obtained were statistically been analyzed using SPSS- Analysis.
