هدفت الدراسة التعرف على الجود والإيثار في الجاهلية كعب بن مامة الأيادي نموذجا. وبدأت بالإشارة إلى أن من القيم الإيجابية التي كان المجتمع العربي الجاهلي يقدرها ويبجلها الجود والإيثار والمروءة والكرم والوفاء والحرية واكرام الضيف والشجاعة والنجدة. وكان كل من يتمسك بهذه القيم يشتهر أمره وتنتشر أخباره في الآفاق. وعرضت لموضوع الدراسة موضحة أن كعب بن عمرو الأيادي الملقب بـــــابن مامة شخصية عجز لأسباب مجهولة الكتاب والمؤرخين وأصحاب السير من توثيقها سوى ببعض التلميح. لكن كتب الأدب والبلاغة والشعر تغنت بقيم هذه الشخصية فعد أحد ثلاثة من أجود العرب في الجاهلية وإيثاره لم يتكرر عبر القرون إلا مرات قليلة. وتناولت الدراسة في عرضها لكعب بن مامة عدة عناصر فبينت لقبه وأمه وأولاده وكنيته وموطنه وديانته وجوده وإيثاره. واختتمت بالإشارة إلى وفاته حيث أن الروايات لم تنشر بشكل دقيق تاريخ وفاته لأن قومه ابتعدوا مهاجرين بعد موته عن موطنهم فانقطعت أخبارهم لكن يمكن أن يقدر تاريخ وفاته من خلال معاصريه.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The study aimed to identify the generosity and altruism in the pre-Islamic epoch: Kaab Ibn Mamah Al-Ayadi as a model. It began by pointing out that some of the positive values that the Arab community of pre-Islamic era had appreciated and praised represented in bountifulness, altruism, magnanimity, generosity, loyalty, freedom, hospitality, courage and help. All those who adhered to these values were famous and their news spread in the horizons. The study presented the subject explaining that Kaab Ibn Amr Al-Ayady, nicknamed Ibn Mamah is a personality that authors, historians, and writers of biographies were for unknown reasons unable to document, only some hint were mentioned. The books of literature however, rhetoric and poetry extolled the values of this character, as he was one of three of the finest Arabs in the pre-Islamic era and his altruism has been repeated over the centuries only a few times. The study also dealt with several elements when presenting Kaab Ibn Mamah; it showed his title, mother, children, his nickname, his homeland, religion, his bountifulness and altruism. It concluded by referring to his death, as the narrations did not state accurately the date of his death because his people emigrated after his death from their homeland, their news was interrupted.
