المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى التعرف على واقع التعليم في دول غرب إفريقيا وتحليل العوامل والمتغيرات المجتمعية التي أثرت على التعليم في دول غرب أفريقيا. وأوضح مدى إسهام مجلة قراءات إفريقية في تناول بعض قضايا التعليم من خلال تحليل مضمون المادة التحريرية الخاصة بقضايا التعليم بدول غرب أفريقيا في الفترة الممتدة من عام 2004 حتى عام 2013 من حيث التعرف على نوع ما ينشر من قضايا وموضوعات في مجال التعليم بدول غرب أفريقيا. كما أشار الى نوعية المعلومات المتوافرة في المادة التحريرية المنشورة. والى التعرف على طبيعة القائم بالاتصال للمادة التحريرية في هذه المجلة. واستخدام البحث منهج تحليل المحتوى. وتوصلت نتائج البحث الى أن مجلة قراءات أفريقية كان لها سبق الفضل في التعريف بالعديد من القضايا الملحة في مجالات التعليم بدول غرب أفريقيا. كما أشارت النتائج الى ان الموضوعات المنشورة للمجلة استوعبت العديد من القضايا التعليمية. وأوصى البحث بضرورة دعوة كليات التربية في دول غرب أفريقيا إلى إيلاء أهمية خاصة بمجال التعليم وقضاياه. وضرورة دعوة المنظمات الأفريقية إلى التعاون في مجال إنشاء قاعدة بيانات حول التعليم في غرب أفريقيا بحيث تشتمل القاعدة على أسماء المؤسسات العاملة في الميدان. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018

The aim of the research was to identify the reality of education in West African countries and to analyze the societal factors and variables that affected the education in West African countries. It explained the contribution of the African Reading Magazine in addressing some of the issues of education by analyzing the content of the editorial material on the education issues in West African countries between 2004 and 2013 in terms of identifying the type of published issues and topics in the field of education in West African countries. It also noted the quality of the information available in the published editorial and to identify the nature of the contact person for the editorial material in this journal. The research used the methodology content analysis. The results of the research found that an African reading magazine had already been credited with introducing many of the most pressing issues in the education fields in West African countries. The results also indicated that the subjects published for the magazine absorbed many educational issues. The research also recommended that the educational colleges in West African countries should be invited to pay particular attention to the field of education and its issues and the need to invite the African organizations to cooperate in the establishment of a database on the education in West Africa including the names of the institutions operating in the field.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
