|b The current study aimed to know the opinions and beliefs of mathematics teachers before the actual service/ students who studied mathematics at universities towards learning and teaching mathematics and the role of teachers in it, the researcher prepares a questionnaire addressed the three themes mentioned and applied to a sample of AY students from Yarmouk University, Science and Technology in Jordan in the second quarter of year 2011 / 2012 and the first quarter 2012 / 2013 after the confirmation of sincerity and persistence. The results indicated the occurrence of paragraphs that talk about the role of the teacher in the use of appropriate teaching strategies and students' thinking and self-learning formalities comes first. In addition to the lack of statistically significant differences in opinions and beliefs attributed to sex or studying level or interaction between them.

|a سعت الدراسة إلى معرفة آراء ومعتقدات معلمي الرياضيات قبل الخدمة / طلبة تخصص الرياضيات نحو تعلم وتعليم الرياضيات ودور المعلمين فيه، وأعدت استبانة تناولت محاور ثلاثة وطبقت على عينة مكونة من (۸۷) طالبا من طلبة جامعتي اليرموك والعلوم والتكنولوجيا في الأردن في الفصل الدراسي الثاني لعام 2011/ 2012 والفصل الدراسي الأول 2012 / 2013 بعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها. وأشارت النتائج إلى وقوع فقرات دور المعلم في استخدام استراتيجيات تدریس مناسبة، والاهتمام بتفكير الطلبة وتعلمهم الذاتي في التراتيب الأولى. بالإضافة إلى عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في الآراء والمعتقدات تعزى لمتغير الجنس أو المستوى الدراسي أو التفاعل بينهما.
