المستخلص: معظم فنون الحضارات كان للفن دور في تسجيلها، والتأكيد على التفاعل المتبادل بين الفنان والمجتمع عبر العصور، إذ يمتلك الفنان القدرة على التعبير بشتى الأساليب الفنية التي تؤكد طاقاته الإبداعية، ليسهم في دفع عجلة التطور في جميع مقومات الحياة، كما أن للفن أثر كبير في حياة الأفراد، فهو يلبي ويشبع بعض حاجاتهم الجمالية، عن طريق إنتاج وإبداع أعمال فنية، وتعتبر الحركة الفنية التشكيلية السعودية من الحركات التي لها خصوصيتها الثقافية حيث تفرض علينا الالتزام في اختيار المفردات التشكيلية مع الإلمام بكل ما هو جديد باتجاهات الفنانين،
ومن هذا المنطلق قامت فكرة البحث على الربط بين فن التصوير الجداري وثقافة المجتمع السعودي من خلال الخط العربي، ليكون هناك تواصل دائم بين أفراد المجتمع، وتتناول مشكلة البحث إلقاء الضوء على أهمية الحرف العربي كمصدر فني في التصوير الجداري بالمملكة العربية السعودية، والتعرف على جماليات فن الخط العربي في بعض أعمال التصوير الجداري السعودي، ويمكن تحديد تساؤل البحث فيما يلي: هل يمكن أن يكون الحرف العربي مصدرا فنيا في الأعمال الجدارية في المملكة العربية السعودية؟ ويفترض البحث أن (الحرف العربي) أحد أهم المصادر الفنية المساهمة في تحقيق متطلبات التصوير الجداري السعودي المعاصر،
هذا ويهدف البحث إلى إيضاح الدور الفاعل للخط العربي جماليا في التصوير الجداري في المملكة العربية السعودية، كذلك زيادة الوعي الفني والثقافي بمجال فن التصوير الجداري السعودي، وتشجيع الفنانين السعوديين وغيرهم على الإبداع المستمر بالحروفية العربية، مع تنمية الرؤية البصرية من خلال تذوق الخط العربي في التصوير الجداري، وتقوم أهمية البحث على إبراز دور الخط العربي في التصوير الجداري السعودي، والوقوف على جماليات الخط العربي في بعض اللوحات الجدارية النابعة من البيئة السعودية.

In respect to most of the arts of civilizations, art had a role in recording them and emphasizing the synergy between the artist and society throughout the ages. That is as the artist has the ability to express various artistic styles which emphasize his creative energies, to contribute to the advancement of all the elements of life. Art also has a significant impact on the lives of individuals; it meets and satisfies some of their aesthetic needs, through the production and creation of works of art. The Saudi Fine Art Movement is considered one of the movements that has its cultural specificity, as it obliges us to commit in respect to selecting visual vocabulary accompanied by familiarization with all the new artists’ trends.
Upon this basis, the idea of research was established upon the linkage between the art of wall photography and the culture of Saudi society, through Arabic calligraphy, for there to be a constant communication among members of the society. The research problem deals with shedding light upon the importance of Arabic crafts, as an artistic source, within wall photography in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and identifying the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy in some Saudi wall photography works. It is possible to define the research question as follows: Can Arabic Crafts be an artistic resource in mural works in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? The research assumes that (Arabic Crafts) is one of the most important artistic sources which contribute to the realization of the requirements of contemporary Saudi wall photography.
The research aims to clarify the active role of Arabic calligraphy aesthetically in relation to wall photography in Saudi Arabia. It also seeks to increase artistic and cultural awareness in the field of Saudi wall photography, and to encourage Saudi artists and others to continuously create Arabic craftsmanship, while developing a visual vision through experiencing a taste of Arabic calligraphy in wall photography. The significance of the research is established upon highlighting the role of Arabic calligraphy in Saudi wall photography and identifying the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy in some murals originating from the Saudi environment.
