بدراسة الصورة التوزيعية العامة للمحلات التجارية استأثرت أربعة أنشطة بنحو ثلاثة أرباع أعداد المحلات، واستأثرت خمسة شوارع تجارية على ما يقرب من نصف أعداد المحلات التجارية داخل الطريق الدائري وتتميز تلك الطرق بموقعها القريب من منطقة الأعمال المركزية في المدينة كما في شارع المدينة المنورة، أو بكونها محورا لحركة نمو عمراني ومروري كما في طريق الملك فهد باتجاه مدينة خميس مشيط، مما شجع على الانتشار الكبير للمحلات التجارية على طول هذا الطريق. وتبين أن نشاط الأغذية والمشروبات والتبغ أكثر الأنشطة انتشارا، ويشترك معه الأنشطة العقارية، وبرزت أقل أنشطة المحلات التجارية انتشارا بأحياء المدينة في ٣ أنشطة، هي: وقود السيارات، الأنشطة الائتمانية، المواد البلاستيكية والألومونيوم. وتبين أن نمط التوزيع يميل إلى التجمع حول نقطة واحدة، ويتخذ نمطا أو شكلا متكتلا. وبلغ أكبر معامل صلة جوار لنشاط وقود السيارات في حين تعد محلات الأنشطة القانونية الأكثر تكتلا. وسعت الأنشطة المتشابهة في غالب الأحيان إلى التركز المكاني بجوار بعضها البعض وبتحليل التوزيع الاتجاهي تبين وجود مجموعتان، الأولى: اتخذت اتجاها عاما نحو الشرق والشمال والثانية: اتخذت اتجاها عاما نحو الغرب والشمال الغربي.
By Studying the distributive public image of the trade shops it's clear that four activities accounted for about three quarters of the shops, and five commercial streets accounted for nearly half of the commercial shops number inside the ring road. These roads are characterized by its location that is near to the central business district in the city as "Medina road" ,they can also characterized by being a centerpiece of the movement of traffic and constructional growth as "King Fahd road towards the city of khamis Musheayt" which encourages the large spread of the commercial shops along it. It's clear that food, drinks and tobacco activities are the most prevalent activities, like the constructional activities. The least prevalent trade shops' activities in the city districts emerged into motor fuel, credit activities, plastic and aluminum materials. It's also clear that the distribution pattern tends to congregation around q single point and take a lumpy form or pattern. The largest of the "Nearest Neighbors Ratio" is for motor fuel While the legal activity shops are the lumpiest. Similar activities are often sought to spatial centralizing next to each other. By analyzing the directional distribution analysis, it's revealed that there are two groups; the first one took a general trend towards the East and North and the second took a general trend towards the West and Northwest.
