|b The study aimed at activating management practices of basic education schools principals in the Sultanate of Oman in light of Strategic Management, from the standpoint of basic education schools Principals’ Assistants for grades (5-10) and their teachers. It also shows whether there are statistically significant differences attributable to the variables of (gender, job, and the educational governorate).The study used the Descriptive Approach and a questionnaire was developed to collect data for the study. The questionnaire had (68) items covering four themes (strategic design, strategic implementation, monitoring and strategic evaluation, and obstacles to the application of strategic management). The study used a sample of (533), of whom (101) Principal’s Assistants, and (432) teachers in three educational governorates (Adakhiliyah, Dhofar and Muscat) \\ The estimates of the participants in the study about the reality of management practices for school principals showed a "high" degree of agreement in the 3 educational governorates. The axis of strategic planning came in the third place with a mean of (3.73), and the axis of strategic implementation come in the first place with a mean of (3.93), and the axis of monitoring and assessment came in the second place with a mean of (3,82). The results of the study revealed statistically significant differences at the level of significance of (a<0.05) due to the variable of gender in favor of females, while there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance of (a<0.05) for the rest of the variables. \\ Accordingly, the study made some recommendations including: continuing to improve the management practices of school principals, the development of school planning skills and teamwork skills. The principals should also employ the strategic management at work through environment analysis to determine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and to develop a special system of incentives for workers at school.

|a هدفت الدراسة إلى تفعيل الممارسات الإدارية لمديري مدارس التعليم الأساسي بسلطنة عمان في ضوء مدخل الإدارة الاستراتيجية، من وجهة نظر مساعدي مديري مدارس التعليم الأساسي للصفوف (5 – 10) ومعلميهم، والكشف عن الفروق الإحصائية وفق متغيرات (الجنس، الوظيفة، المحافظة التعليمية). استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وللحصول على البيانات تم إعداد استبانة مكونة من (68) فقرة، موزعة على ثلاثة محاور: (التصميم الاستراتيجي، والتنفيذ الاستراتيجي، والرقابة والتقييم الاستراتيجي)، طبقت على عينة عشوائية بلغت (533)، منهم (101) مساعد / مساعدة مدير مدرسة، و (432) معلما ومعلمة، في ثلاث محافظات تعليمية (الداخلية وظفار ومسقط). \\ جاءت تقديرات أفراد الدراسة حول واقع الممارسات الإدارية لمديري المدارس بدرجة موافقة "عالية" على مستوى المحافظات الثلاث، حيث جاء محور التصميم الاستراتيجي في المرتبة الثالثة بمتوسط حسابي (3.73)، وجاء محور التنفيذ الاستراتيجي في المرتبة الأولى بمتوسط حسابي (3.93)، وجاء محور الرقابة والتقويم في المرتبة الثانية بمتوسط حسابي (3.82) وكشفت نتائج الدراسة عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a<0.05) تعزى لمتغير الجنس ولصالح الإناث في محور التصميم الاستراتيجي، بينما لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a<0.05) لبقية المتغيرات. وعليه أوصت الدراسة بمجموعة من التوصيات منها: الاستمرار في تحسين الممارسات الإدارية لمديري المدارس، وتنمية مهارات التخطيط المدرسي ومهارات العمل الجماعي، وتوظيف الإدارة الاستراتيجية في بيئة المدرسة، وذلك من خلال التحليل البيئي الفعلي لمعرفة نقاط القوة والضعف والفرص والتهديدات، ووضع نظام خاص بالحوافز للعاملين بالمدرسة.
