المستخلص: تهدف الدراسة إلى محاولة تحديد أبعاد تمكين المرأة السعودية، من خلال تحديد مفهوم التمكين ومجالاته واحتياجاته ومستوياته، وتعد هذه الدراسة من الدراسات الوصفية التحليلية التي اعتمدت عل منهج المسح الاجتماعي الشامل لأعضاء اللجان المختارة من مجلس الشورى والمسح الاجتماعي عن طريق العينة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في بعض الجامعات السعودية، واعتمدت الدراسة عل أداتين هما: استبانة تم توجيهها للخواء من أعضاء لجان مجلس الشورى، واستبانة أخرى تم توجيهها إلى عينة من الأكاديميات من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعات السعودية، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج منها: أن من أبرز ملامح مفهوم تمكين المرأة السعودية عملية إتاحة الفرصة للمرأة للحصول عل حقوقها الشرعية في المجتمع وتعزيز القوة الشخصية والاجتماعية للنساء لتحسين حياتهن، وأن من أهم مجالات تمكين المرأة السعودية التمكين التعليمي والتمكين الاقتصادي وحصولها عل دخل كاف لتلبية احتياجاتها. وأن من أهم احتياجات تمكين المرأة السعودية: الاحتياجات التأهيلية (تعليم وتدريب) والاحتياجات الاجتماعية، وأن من أهم مستويات تمكين المرأة السعودية: مستوى المشاركة الذي يعتمد عل تحقيق المشاركة الإيجابية للمرأة في عملية صنع اتخاذ القرار، ومستوى الإمكانية الذي يعتمد عل رفع قدرة المرأة في التحليل الموضوعي والنقد الواعي لأنظمة التمييز بين الرجل والمرأة.

This study aims to identify the dimensions of the empowerment of Saudi women. It defines the concept of empowerment, its fields, needs and levels. This study is considered an analytical descriptive study. It is based on the comprehensive social survey method applied on the members of committees selected by the Shura Council. And it is also based on the social survey sample method on the faculty members of some Saudi universities. The study depended on two tools: A questionnaire addressed to experts from the members of the Shura Council committees related to the subject of the study, and another questionnaire addressed to a sample of academics of the faculty members in Saudi universities as specified in the study. The study reached a number of finding, the most prominent are: Among the most prominent features of the concept of the empowerment of Saudi women is that it allows women to gain their legitimate rights in society, also it enhances the personal and social strength of women to improve their lives. This empowerment also gives women the opportunity to participate in the decision-making process and strengthens women’s own capabilities to increase their effectiveness in society, it also helps women to claim their rights to services. One of the most important fields for the empowerment of Saudi women is the educational empowerment, as it focuses on increasing the participation of women in the educational system, as well as, benefiting from human resources development programs. Another field is the economic empowerment, which focuses on expanding women’s work fields to achieve their independence and to gain adequate income that will meet their needs. Moreover, the personal empowerment is another field, it assists women to face negative societal attitudes towards them. As well as the field of political empowerment, it focuses on increasing women’s participation in the decision-making process. The last field to mention is the social empowerment, as it involves making changes in values and beliefs that are associated with decision¬making process in community institutions. Among the most important needs of the empowerment of Saudi women are: The rehabilitation needs (education and training) and the social, economic, legislative and political needs. Moreover, the most important levels of the empowerment of Saudi women are: The level of participation that depends on achieving the positive participation of women in the decision-making process, and the level of potential that depends on raising the capability of women in the areas of objective analysis and conscious criticism of the discrimination systems between men and women.
