المستخلص: The research has sought to examine the Arab grammarians’ thinking through the issue of grammatical necessity in nominatives by tracing a range of grammatical evidence Arab grammarians have relied upon in deciding the grammatical rules to be observed in syntactical nominatives or their specification of the syntactical situation which represents the grammatical level corresponding to the correctness and the soundness of the language used, in light of the diversity of aspects of the Arab grammarians’ reliance on grammatical evidence. The research has established the foundations of grammatical concepts and necessity as well as nominatives, in preparation for the study of the grammatical boundaries of grammatical nominatives and a study of the grammatical necessity-terms in nominatives between the citation and the metalingual function in the Arabic grammar heritage. The research has stepped a step toward establishing a link between the ancient and modern patterns in linguistic studies by exploring the modern linguistics from the concept of grammatical necessity by examining three positions of three linguistic scholars, namely: the position of (Ferdinand de Saussure) in linguistic binaries, the position (Noam Chomsky) in his generative and transformative theory, and the position of (Jean Jacques le Cercle) in his language remainder theory. The research is following the Analytic Descriptive Study, which is based on the study of grammatical evidence to reach an integrated dimension of the elements of the subject; in order to enter into the analysis and draw the philosophical links that combine old and modern on the issue of obligatory provision of grammar. The research has come to a number of results that highlighted the rotation of the grammatical rule required by the Arabs in the orbit of combining the dependence on the nature of the language on the one hand, and the role of the grammarians and language users on the other, while the modern linguistic studies have varied their view of some of them saw the obligatory provision in the nature of language, without any role to the linguists and the users in this commitment, and some of them saw the obligatory provision is the state of mind regarding the ability of the language user to formulate the language structure according to the potential to ensure the realization of the correct perception of the recipient, and some of them saw that the nature of language and language user should be each of them out Language system, and linguists only describe this linguistic reality.
