المستخلص: The research is aiming at shedding light on the reality of human development in the Middle Euphrates' Governorates by depending on 27 indications divided into four major groups: economic, educational, health and infrastructure. Factorial analysis has been used to find out the common factors affecting the phenomenon under study as well as its spatial distribution. It tums out that the development, achieved in the area under study, is suffering from spatial defîciency and even the governorates, that have achieved progress, have not virtually realized social welfare for their populations let alone the economic, educational, health and infrastructure indications. Such situation requires long-term strategy to reach development balance in a way that relieve the sufferings of those governorates’ populations and satisfy their desires of living lives that have the least requirements.
