Knowledge sharing is a very important process in any institution. This study aimed to explore the reality of knowledge sharing process and the difficulties that staff are facing at the Center of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University. It was based on the descriptive analysis method. In order to reach the objectives, the study used a questionnaire that distributed to 16 of staff at CEPS. Also, the researchers were using excel program to analysis data. The study reached to many results, the most important of them are Intrinsic factors that encourage staff to share knowledge have positive responses, the most important tools used by staff is email and the most difficulties that limit knowledge sharing are lack of training by (75%) and lack of the rewarding system by (68.7%). According to the results, the study recommended many of the recommendations, such as increasing training programs provided to employees to improve their skills, knowledge and knowledge sharing among them and make a bulletin board in the library to announce the staff about the conferences that will be carried out both inside and outside Oman, so staff can participate in it and exchange knowledge.
