هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة أهمية المخيال في فكر محمد أركون. وجاءت الدراسة في محورين. تناول المحور الأول الأسس التي تشترك فيها الأصولية في كل مجتمعات الكتاب اليهودية والمسيحية والإسلامية، من خلال تقصى الأصول الثقافية والنفسية واللغوية التي ترتكز عليها هذه الأصوليات. وأشار المحور الثاني إلى الأصول التي قدمت عناصر خصبة لتغذية المخيال الإسلامي من حيث، الظاهرة القرآنية أو ما يسمى بالوحى، والخطاب النبوي، والوقائع التاريخية والأشخاص والرموز التي تشغل مكانة هامة في الذاكرة الجماعية للمسلمين. وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة أن نسبة العقل أو مقدار تواجده في الكثير من القطاعات والمنتجات الثقافية في الحقل الإسلامي، يحتاج إلى إعادة رؤيته وتقييمه انطلاقا انثروبولوجيا المخيال وعلم الاجتماع المهتم بالعلاقات المتداخلة بين العوامل الأسطورية والشعائرية والتاريخية. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة القيام بدراسات حرة ولا مشروطة للآداب الشعبية على ضوء المعطيات الجديدة التي تمدنا بها الألسنيات والإيثنولوجيا وعلم الاجتماع والتاريخ من أجل إعادة الاعتبار للعقل الشفهي. كما أوصت الدراسة بتفهم الدور الذي تلعبه التركيبات الأسطورية والخرافات والشعوذات والسحر في تكوين الذات التاريخية للجماعة البشرية. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The study aimed to know the importance of imagination in the thought of Muhammad Arkoun. It came in two axes. The first axis dealt with the common foundations of fundamentalism in all of the societies of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic sacred books by exploring the cultural, psychological and linguistic origins on which these fundamentalists are based. The second axis referred to the principles that provided fertile grounds for the enrichment of the Islamic imagination in terms of the Qur'anic phenomenon or the so-called revelation, the Prophet's discourse, the historical facts, persons and symbols that occupy an important place in the collective memory of the Muslims. The results of the study led to that the proportion of the reason or the extent of its presence in many cultural sectors and products in the Islamic field needs to be re-seen and evaluated by proceeding from the anthropology of imagination and sociology interested in the interrelationships between the mythical, ritual and historical factors. The study recommended the necessity of carrying out free and unconditional studies of popular literature in the light of the new data provided by linguistics, ethnology, sociology and history in order to rehabilitate the oral mentality. The study also recommended the understanding of the role played by mythological structures, myths, sorcery and magic in the formation of the historical self of the human community.
