تحتاج مريضات السرطان إلى رعاية صحية خاصة تفرضها طبيعة مرضهن الخطير، وهذا بدوره يتطلب تمتعهن بحقوقهن الصحية لاسيما توفير الإمكانات المناسبة في التشخيص والعلاج. يهدف هذا البحث إلى إظهار التحديات التي تواجه الخدمات الصحية المقدمة لمريضات السرطان في قطاع غزة، والتي تحاول دون تمتعهن بحقوقهن الصحية. كما يهدف البحث إلى تقديم حلول واقعية تساهم بالارتقاء بالرعاية الصحية لتلك المريضات. ولقد أرجع البحث التحديات التي تواجه الخدمات الصحية المقدمة لمريضات السرطان إلى عدم توفر القدر الكافي من المرافق الصحية المؤهلة لتقديم خدمات صحية مناسبة، وإلى النقص في عدد الأسرة والأطباء والممرضين سيما المتخصصين، وضعف إمكانات التشخيص والعلاج، يضاف إلى ذلك المعوقات التي تحول دون تلقي مريضات السرطان للعلاج في مستشفيات خارج قطاع غزة. وبهدف معالجة الانتهاكات التي تتعرض لها النساء المصابات بمرض السرطان في قطاع غزة وإعمالاً لحقوقهن الصحية، فإن البحث أوصى المجتمع الدولي بالتحرك الفاعل لضمان وقف العقوبات الجماعية التي تفرضها قوات الاحتلال على قطاع غزة وسكانه، وإلزامها بالقيام بمسؤولياتها بتأمين الصحة العامة والشروط الصحية وأن توفر بأقصى ما تسمح به وسائلها العناية الطبية للسكان في الأراضي المحتلة. كما أوصى بتحييد القطاعات الخدماتية عن التجاذبات والصراعات السياسية، بما يضمن إدارة القطاع الصحي على نحو أفضل. وأوصى البحث أيضاً توفير إمكانات التشخيص والعلاج المناسبة، وتسهيل وتسريع إجراءات العلاج في الخارج، بما يضمن سرعة حصول مريضات السرطان على التشخيص والعلاج المناسب وفي الوقت المناسب.
Cancer patients need special health care due to the nature of the illness, which requires getting their health rights, especially the fundamental right of appropriate diagnosis and treatment. This research aims to examine the challenges facing the health services provided to female cancer patients in Gaza Strip, which deprive them of getting their rights. The research also aims to provide realistic solutions and recommendations to improve health care for those patients. The research has stated that the challenges facing the health services that are provided to the cancer patients are: lack of sufficient adequate medical facilities to provide proper health services, the shortage of family doctors and nurses particularly specialists and weak diagnostic and treatment possibilities, in addition to obstructions to receiving breast cancer treatment in hospitals outside the Gaza Strip. In order to confront violations facing women cancer patients in Gaza Strip, and to get their health rights, this study has recommended the international community to act effectively to ensure the cessation of collective punishment that is imposed by the Israeli occupation forces on Gaza Strip and its population, and forcing it to carry out its responsibilities to secure public health and health conditions and provide the maximum extent of the available means to medical care for the population in the occupied territories. It has recommended neutralizing the service sectors away from political conflicts, to ensure better management the health sector. The research also recommended to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment options, and to facilitate and expedite the procedures for treatment abroad, to ensure the rapidity of cancer diagnosis and appropriate treatment in a suitable time.
