في ظل عصر المعلوماتية الذي نعيشه الآن لم يعد مستخدم الصحيفة اليومية مستخدما سلبيا يتلقى الأخبار والمعلومات كما هي منشورة فعليا، ولكن أصبح مستخدم الصحيفة اليومية مشاركا فاعلاً في صناعة بعض الأخبار أو نشر بعض المعلومات أو تعديل البعض أو نفى الآخر. وذلك كله بعد أن أصبحت الصحف – في غالبيتها – تُنشر الكترونيا مما يسمح باستخدام وسائل التواصل الإلكتروني المختلفة للتشارك في محتوياتها ومضمونها. ومن آليات التواصل الاجتماعي الإلكتروني تلك؛ استطلاعات الرأي الإلكترونية التي ترسخ مفهوم التفاعل الجاد بين المواطنين وأجهزة المجتمع. حيث إنه بالإمكان الإفادة منها في معرفة التوجه العام بالمجتمع نحو القضايا الأساسية مما قد يؤدى إلى تأثر السياسات العامة واتخاذ القرارات الحيوية للمجتمع. ولذا فإن هذه الدراسة حاولت التعرف على الدور الوظيفي لاستطلاعات الرأي التي تقوم بها الصحف الإلكترونية بالمجتمع المصري حيث أنه من المتوقع أن تلك الاستطلاعات تؤدى دورا أو عدة أدوار حيوية لكل من الفرد والمجتمع. كما حاولت الدراسة التعرف على أهم الموضوعات التي تحظى بالاهتمام المجتمعي وتلك التي لا ترتقي إلى اهتمامات أعضاء المجتمع بشكل واضح. وقد ظهر من الدراسة أن المشاركة في إبداء الرأي بتلك الاستطلاعات بشأن القضايا المجتمعية المختلفة تؤدى إلى تحفيز المشاركة على مستويات أعلى في التفاعل مع القضايا المجتمعية المختلفة، كما أوضحت الدراسة أن هناك دوافع مختلفة للمشاركة بتلك الاستطلاعات، كما أن هناك ما يحول دون القيام بتلك المشاركات.
In the age of the information technology in which we live now, the daily reader has not become just a negative reader, who receives news and information as it is exactly published, but the daily newspapers reader has turned out to be an effective participant in the news making, or in the publication of some information, correcting certain news or denying others. The change has become possible after most newspapers have been published electronically which makes it possible to share the contents and meaning of those newspapers through the different electronic communication media. One of these social electronic communication mechanisms is the electronic polls which solidify the means of the serious interaction between the citizens and the society as it could be a useful way to know the general opinion of the society toward the key issues that might influence the general policies and the making vital decisions of the society. Therefore, this study attempet identily to recognize the functional role of the polls that have been carried out by the electronic newspapers in the Egyptian community, as it expected by these polls are performing a role or several vital roles for both the individual and the society. The study also attempts to identify the most important subjects that attract the social interests and those that do not. The study shows that sharing opinion through polls about the different societal issues stimulates interaction, at higher levels, with the various community issues. Moreover, the study explains that there are different motives behind the participation in such polls.
