This study aims to provide a range of solutions and proposals that can address the various challenges and major problems related to the principle of universal jurisdiction, leading to an effective international criminal justice system and ending the impunity of the perpetrators of international crimes. Through this study, several conclusions can be drawn about the principle of universal jurisdiction in international criminal law: The principle of universal jurisdiction is an essential means of combating diplomatic immunity and a step towards international justice. It is incumbent upon all Arab States to review their criminal legislation, both in terms of civil criminal jurisdiction and military criminal justice, in accordance with the provisions of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, as in the case of European legislation, Too the need to activate and support the principle of universal jurisdiction, in a manner that helps in combating the impunity of the perpetrators of international crimes.
