تبحث هذه الدراسة في الدور الذي يلعبه الإعلام في النزاعات الدولية من خلال تغطية الصحافة الإماراتية اليومية الصادرة باللغة العربية للحدث (احتلال العراق) خلال الفترة من 20 مارس ولغاية 15 أبريل 2003. وهي دراسة تعني بالجانب المهني التطبيقي الصحفي في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، من حيث خصائص الرسالة الإعلامية واتجاهات مضامينها، ثم طرح بعض التفسيرات والأسباب التي تقف وراء تلك الخصائص والاتجاهات. تطمح هذه الدراسة إلى تحقيق هدفين أساسيين هما الأول: بحث وتحديد حجم الاهتمام الذي أولته الصحافة اليومية العربية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة لقضية احتلال العراق والثاني: تحديد اتجاهات الصحافة الإماراتية من ذلك الحدث، وتأخذ الدراسة عينتها البحثية من الصحيفتين اليوميتين العربيتين الصادرتين في تلك الفترة وهما: جريدة الخليج وجريدة البيان. تنقسم الدراسة إلى إطارين أساسيين الأول: الإطار النظري يطرح معلومات أساسية عن الصحافة الإماراتية، وفكرة مختصرة عن الإجراءات المنهجية المتبعة في الدراسة، والثاني إطار تطبيقي يعرض نتائج التحليل ويقدم الأسباب والتفسيرات وراء خصائص التغطية وموقف الصحيفتين من الحدث محل الدراسة.
This study examines the role played by the media in international disputes by covering the UAE daily press published in Arabic for the event ((occupation of Iraq)) during the period from 20 - March - to 15 - in April 2003. It is concerned with the study of the professional side of Applied journalist in the United Arab Emirates, in terms of the characteristics of the media message and trends of their contents, and then ask some explanations and the reasons behind those characteristics and trends. This study aims to achieve two main objectives: the first: research and determine the size of attention given by the Arab daily press in the United Arab Emirates to the issue of the occupation of Iraq, and the second: to determine the UAE press trends of that event. The take-appointed study and research of the main Arab dailies in that period, namely: Gulf newspaper and Al-Bayan newspaper. The study is divided into main components: the first the theoretical framework presents basic information about the UAE press, and the idea of a brief on the methodology procedures used in the study, and the second application window displays the results of the analysis and providing reasons and explanations behind the coverage characteristics and position papers of the event under study.
