المستخلص: This study revolves around an important topic from among the topics of the sciences of the Hadeeth and it is the subject of conflicting Ahadeeth. That is by explaining the true reality of that conflict and how the scholars dealt with it. I focused upon the aspect of ascertaining preponderance which represents a stage from the stages of repelling the conflict among the Ahadeeth. I explained the procedure of ascertaining preponderance (At-Tarjeeh), its categories, conditions and the ruling of its utilization. I then selected from the categories of the factors of preponderance (Murajjihaat) a category which makes some of those who are not well read anxious as the scholars of hadeeth neglected it and did not concern themselves with its like they did in respect to the Sanad (chain of narration). This is the category related to the factors of preponderance associated to the text (Matn). I consequently mentioned a number of the factors of preponderance (Murajjihaat) of the Matn (text) which I examined in “Fat’h ul-Baariy”, in addition to what Ibn Hajar mentioned in relation to each Murajjih (factor of preponderance) in relation to the stages of repelling the conflict.
I chose Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalaaniy because he is one of Islam’s major personalities who played a role in the preservation of the Sunnah and in its defense. He is from those who dealt with this difficult subject matter. And I chose his famous book, which is well-known to all, due to what it contains of applicational examples in respect to repelling the conflict between the Ahadeeth. I focused upon the applicational aspect of the conflicts between Hadeeth during its four stages: Reconciling, abrogation, weighing preponderance and ceasing, through what Al-Haafizh Ibn Hajar transmitted in Al-Fat’h concerning the scholars and the attribution of these opinions to those who stated them within their books. That was in addition to what I studied in terms of reconciliation, abrogation, weighing preponderance and ceasing, which was not mentioned by Ibn Hajar.

هذا البحث يدور حول مبحث مهم من مباحث علوم الحديث وهو "مختلف الحديث" أو الأحاديث المتعارضة، ويبان حقيقة هذا التعارض، وكيف تعامل العلماء معه، وركزت على جانب الترجيح، الذي هو مرحلة من مراحل دفع التعارض بين الأحاديث، وبينت الترجيح وأقسامه وشروطه وحكم العمل به، ثم اخترت من أقسام المرجحات قسما يقلق بعض من ليس لديه اطلاع أن علماء الحديث أغفلوه ولم يهتموا به كاهتمامهم بالإسناد، وهو قسم مرجحات المتن، فذكرت مجموعة من مرجحات المتن التي وقفت عليها في فتح الباري، وما ذكر الحافظ ابن حجر في كل مرجح من مراحل دفع التعارض.
واختياري لابن حجر العسقلاني لأنه علم من أعلام الإسلام الذين كان لهم دور في الحفاظ على السنة والدفاع عنها وهو من هو في هذا المجال الصعب، واخترت كتابه المشهور عند العامة، فضلا عن الخاصة، ولما فيه من أمثلة تطبيقية على دفع التعارض بين الأحاديث، وركزت فيه على الجانب التطبيقي لمختلف الحديث خلال مراحله الأربع الجمع والنسخ والترجيح والتوقف من خلال ما نقل الحافظ ابن حجر في الفتح عن العلماء وعزوت هذه الأقوال إلى أصحابها في كتبهم، وكذلك ما وقفت عليه من جمع أو نسخ أو ترجيح أو توقف ولم يذكره الحافظ ابن حجر.
