هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن الاحتياجات المعلوماتية لدى الفقراء المحتاجين من الجهات الخيرية في المملكة العربية السعودية. واستخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي للوصول إلى المعلومات وتصنيفها وتعميمها. وتكونت مجموعة البحث من 351 فرد تم التوصل إليهم عن طريق زيارات متعددة لمكاتب الضمان الاجتماعي والجهات الخيرية من جمعيات ومؤسسات خاصة في منطقة مكة المكرمة. وتمثلت أداة البحث في استبانة من 5 محاور رئيسة. وتوصلت نتائج البحث إلى بلغ عدد الجمعيات والمؤسسات الخيرية التابعة لوزارة العمل والتنمية الاجتماعية في المملكة العربية السعودية حالياً ما يقارب 686 جمعية خيرية منها 40 جمعية نسائية. وكذلك 148 مؤسسة خيرية خاصة و108 مكتب للضمان الاجتماعي في جميع مناطق المملكة الثلاث عشرة. وضعف زيارة الجهات الخيرية لتقديم المساعدات اللازمة لهم إلى منازلهم حيث في 3% فقط. وأوصى البحث بضرورة العناية بجميع المحتاجين والعمل على الرفع من مستواهم التعليمي والتدريبي. وتهيئة وظائف مهنية تناسب قدراتهم وشهاداتهم. ونشر الوعي المعلوماتي للمحتاجين من المحتاجين والتعريف بما تقدمه الجهات الخيرية ببذل الجهود ومضاعفتها والنزول إلى الأحياء والمناطق الفقيرة وزيارة المستشفيات الحكومية. لتعريفهم بما يقدم لهم من إعانات ومساعدات على اختلاف أنواعها التعليمية والطبية والمهنية وغيرها. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The aim of the research is to uncover the information needs of the poor people who are in need of the charities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The research used the descriptive method to access, classify and disseminate information. The research group consisted of 351 individuals was reached through multiple visits to the social security offices and charities from the private associations and the institutions in the Makkah area. The research tool consisted of a questionnaire include five main axes. The results of the research was that the number of associations and charitable institutions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reached currently about 686 charitable societies, including 40 women's associations, as well as 148 private charities and 108 social security offices in all 13 regions of the Kingdom, and the limited visit of the charitable organizations to provide them with the necessary assistance to their homes, which was only 3%.
