Criticism authorship in period of time lasted from mid of third century of Al-Hijra till the end of seventh century of Al-Hijra. This period of time is rich of authorships in literature and criticism like the one that thesis deals with. After inventory and checking forty five introductory authorships appeared and the reason for choosing them as the subject of this study because they have linguistic and intellectual richness. The literary text is genuine and rich with structures and variable linguistic styles. Therefore, the introduction plays an important role in showing the character of an author and their approach and the nature of the subject in book. The study is divided into two parts and preceded by introduction and followed by conclusion that concludes the results that the research reached at. Preface explains the concept of introduction and its importance, its beginning at Arabic authors, its structures and functions. The first part deals with the singular form and is divided into two chapters , the first chapter deals with the verb structures and it is divided into two sections , the first section deals with bare verbs and the second section deals with non-bare verbs . The first section starts with a preface with the verb and its sematic meaning and is there any literal meaning in the verb and then the practical study?. The second section starts with the concept of non-bare verb and its letters and semantics and then studying the structures of non-bare verbs and their semantics. The second chapter is divided into three sections. The first section studies the verb infinitives with their types and the second section deals with derivations and the third section deals with plural and dual and the mode of the study takes consideration of lexicon and the direction of context of the words to give asymptotic semantics for the study of meaning.
The second part is the structured form that is divided into two chapters. The first chapter is verbal sentence that starts with a preface about the sentence then the division of the sentence into verbal and nominal ones and the differences between them after that is the subject of tense and event in linguistic structure with showing the details and differences between old and modern grammarians then starting the practical study for the kinds of verbal sentence that is used in introductions from two views in structure and function . This study is divided into two sections where the first section is mainly concerned with the kinds of the verbal sentence from structural view and the second structure concerned with kinds of verbal sentence from function and at the end of the chapter we proved the main characteristics of the verbal sentence in the introductions . The second chapter deals with nominal sentence that is divided into two sections, the first section deals with kinds of nominal sentence form structure and the second section deals with kinds of nominal sentence from function and the end of the chapter we proved the main characteristics of the nominal sentence in introductions. At the last part of the study we got some conclusions. One of these conclusions is that the authorship introduction is a high literary text that is worth studying on different levels and one of these is the linguistic level (content forms and structure forms) which contains words and structures. Furthermore, there are the ways of expressing and the kinds of structure, this makes the text rich with linguistic and literary content that can be studied and researched for this reason is chosen as a study of this study.
