المستخلص: العالم الإسلامي بعد وفاة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم مر بمراحل كثيرة وخطيرة فكان الأئمة عليهم السلام يواجهون كل مرحلة بما يناسبها من المواقف والأفعال حتى يصححوا كل ما قد انحرف عن جادة الإسلام الصحيح. وربما كانت أخطر مرحلة تلك التي أعقبت كربلاء وما جرى فيها، حيث استبيح الدم الطاهر وانتهكت بها حرم الإسلام وضاعت قيم الدين الحنيف من أنفس الناس وتولاهم كل منحرف شاذ يحملهم على ترك مخافة الله وارتكاب الموبقات. وهذه المرحلة عاش فيها الإمام السجاد عليه السلام أربع وثلاثون عاما من سني حياته الشريفة وهو يصحح ما قد انحرف أو زال، ذلك الإسلام الذي أراده الله عز وجل ورسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم من نفوس الناس. فقد عمل بنو أمية ومن والاهم على صنع نموذج من الإسلام يستطيعون به ان ينعموا بنعم الدنيا ويستعبدوا المسلمين، وقد دأبوا على ذلك حتى قبل أن يستأثروا بها. فهذا معاوية بعد أن ركب السلطة وقف ليعلن فصل الدين عن الدولة صراحة ويقول (يا أهل الكوفة أترونني قاتلتكم على الصلاة والزكاة والحج، وقد علمت أنكم تصلون وتزكون وتحجون.
الإسلام دين متكامل ينظم كل صغيرة وكبيرة شارده ووارده لا يفوته شيء وإن كان صغيرا إلا أنه مسيرة الإسلام مرت بمراحل مظلمه شوهت صورة الرسالة السماوية السمحاء فترة حكم الأمويين والعباسيين وفبلهم وللعاقل أن يفهم. حيث كان وعاظ السلاطين ومن يحسبون علماء كانوا يحلون ما يشتهي الملك أو الأمير أو الخليفة وإن كان لا يرضي الله ولا رسوله. حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل.


After the death of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, the Islamic world went through many dangerous stages, so the imams, peace be upon them, faced each stage with their attitudes and actions in order to correct everything that had deviated from the path of true Islam. Perhaps the most dangerous stage was the one that followed Karbala and what happened in it, where pureblood was permitted, and the sanctity of Islam was violated. The values of the true religion were lost from people's souls, and every deviant pervert forced them to abandon the fear of Allah and commit transgressions. And in this stage Imam al-Sajjad, peace be upon him, lived thirty-four years of his honorable life, correcting what had been deviated or gone, the Islam that Allah Almighty and His Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, wanted from the people. The Banu Umayyads and those of their guardians worked to create a model of Islam in which they could enjoy the luxuriousness of the world and enslave Muslims. They continued to do so even before they took possession of it. So this Muawiyah, after he took power, stood up to openly announce the separation of religion from the state and say (O people of Kufa, Do you think I fought you for prayer, Zakat (tax), and Hajj (pilgrimage), and while I knew that you pray, pay Zakat and perform Hajj.
Islam is a complete religion that organizes every small and big thing; nothing escapes it, and it does not miss anything, even if it is small. However, Islam passed through dark phases that distorted the image of the heavenly message during the Umayyads and Abbasids' rule and before them and, wise may understand. As there were sultan's preachers and those considered scholars used to permit what the king, the prince, or the caliph desired, even if it does not please Allah or his Messenger. Allah is all we need. He is the best guardian.
