Abstract: الحمد الله رب العالمين، وأفضل الصلاة وأتم التسليم على سيدنا محمد وعلي اله وصحبه أجمعين، وبعد: فهذه دراسة تحليلية معملية مقارنة حاولت أن تقدم للدرس الصوتي العربي معياراً منضبطاً للمصوتات العربية – أعني الحركات وحروف المد – في الأداء القرآني لها، واتخذت لذلك طرائق متعددة، فنظرت أولاً في المعايير التي قدمتها الدراسات الصوتية للمصوتات عموماً في اللغة الإنسانية عند علمين فذين، أعني الفارابي ودانيال جونز، ثم اتجهت إلى اللغة الخاصة، أعني اللغة العربية، وقرأت ما قدمه علماء العربية وعلماء التجويد والقراءات من وصف لها، ثم وظفت المعمل الصوتي والتحليل الطيفي عند طائفة متقنة من قراء القرآن الكريم، وخرجت في نهايتها إلى معيار منضبط للمصوتات العربية يمكن قياسه والاطمئنان إلى نتائجه، نسأل الله السداد والتوفيق.

This is an analytical, comparison, laboratory investigation which aims to provide the study of Arabic sounds with an accurate gauge for Arabic vowels – meaning the diacritical sounds along with the vowel letters – as they are enunciated in the Qur’an. Multiple methods were utilized; initially looking at the standards provided by the acoustic studies of vowels in general as they were observed in human languages by the two erudite scholars Farabi and Daniel Jones; followed by a reading of the Arabic language by examining the works of scholars of Arabic, Qur’anic recitation, and Qur’anic recitals; then utilizing an audio laboratory and the spectral analysis of the recitations of a number of master Qur’anic reciters; and concluding with an accurate, measurable, reliable gauge for Arabic vowels.
