هدف المقال إلى تسليط الضوء على التخصص العلمي والالتزام الاجتماعي. مشيرا إلى أن عالمنا المعاصر يتسم بأنه عالم تعددت فيه مجالات العلم وازدادت تفرعاته وتخصصاته. حتى كاد ذلك الازدياد أن يذهب بشمولية نظرة العالم إلى الكون. أو أن يجعلها أمراً يقرب من الاستحالة. وإذا كان يجب التسليم بأنه لم يعد في مقدور عالم فرد أن يحيط إحاطة تفصيلية بدقائق كافة مجالات العلم. بل أنه لم يعد من الأمور الميسورة أن تتوفر للعالم تلك الإحاطة التفصيلية الشاملة حتى بمجال تخصصه المحدود. وأكد المقال على ضرورة أن يتفاعل رجل العلم مع مشكلات العالم المعاصر. وعليه أيضا أن يعي جيدا حدود تخصصه. وأن يضيف إلى معرفته المتخصصة علما جديدا. بما وصل إليه من سبقه من الباحثين في المجال الجديد الذي يطرقه. وأن يلم إلماما كافيا بوقائع ذلك المجال وبالقوانين النوعية التي تحكم ما فيه من ظواهر. حتى يمكنه أن يتناول مشكلات ذلك المجال تناولا خلاقا يضيف إليها من علمه شيئاً جديداً.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The article aims to highlight the scientific specialization and the social commitment pointing out that our modern world is characterized by being a world where the fields of science are varied and its branches and specialties increased, so that this increase would even eliminate the wholeness of the world's view of the universe or make it nearly impossible. If it is to be confirmed that no one can afford a detailed briefing in minutes of all fields of science. Indeed, it is no longer possible for the world to have that comprehensive and detailed briefing even in its limited sphere of specialization. The article stressed the need for the scientist to interact with the problems of the contemporary world, and he must also be well aware of the limits of his specialization and to add to his specialized knowledge a new science, including the previous researchers in the new field that he knocks and to have sufficient knowledge of the facts of that area and of the specific laws governing its phenomena, so that he can address the problems of that field, a creative addressing that adds something new to the his knowledge.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
