حققت لامية العجم شهرة واسعة ضمنت لها الخلود في التراث الشعري العربي، وفي أذهان العرب المهتمين بالشعر العربي الفصيح وتاريخه، وقد جعلها تداولها محط أنظار الباحثين والدارسين في المراحل الزمنية المختلفة، فصدرت عشرات الدراسات التي تناولتها شرحا وتحليلا، غير أن هذا لا يمنع استمرار تقديم الدراسات اللائقة بمكانتها الأدبية، فجاءت هذه الدراسة مساهمة للاطلاع علي مظاهر التماسك النصي في القصيدة من خلال معياري السبك والحبك، والوقوف علي أبرز السمات اللغوية والدلالية التي ضمنت للقصيدة الخلود. تمت دراسة صور التماسك في مبحثين اثنين، أولها السبك، بشقيه: النحوي وما يتضمنه من (وصل وفصل وإحالات وحذف) والمعجمي، وما يتضمنه من (تكرار وتضام)، وثانيهما الحبك، وما تضمنه من (ربط الدلالات المعجمية، والعلاقات الضمنية في النص)، وفي كلا المبحثين اتجهت الدراسة إلي إبراز أثرها في التماسك النصي، وربط أجزاء النص بعضها مع البعض. ومن أظهر نتائج الدراسة دوران حروف الربط في جميع أنحاء النص الشعري بشكل متفاوت، فجاءت "الواو" الأكثر ورودا مقابل حرف "أو" الذي ورد مرتين فقط، بينما لم ترد الحروف "أم" و "بل" ولكن "أبدا" وظهر أن حرف الوصل "الواو" عطف الأبيات بعضها مع بعض، وعطف الأشطار أيضا، وعطف الجمل، وعطف الثنائيات اللغوية، الأسماء والأفعال، وهو ما حقق تماسكا وترابطا بين أجزاء النص علي مستوي الكلمة والتركيب والبنية الكبرى. وكان للفصل والحذف دور مهم في التماسك حيث أفادا الإيجاز، وغزارة المعاني في ذهن الشاعر في الفصل بالجملة الاعتراضية، وكذلك الأمر في الإحالة بنوعيها النصية والمقامية، ودورها المهم في ربط أطراف الجمل وأجزائها، وبرز التكرار ظاهرة جلية في معظم مواطن النص، مما بث روح الحركة فيه، وجعله نصا حيا من بدايته إلي نهايته.
