By choosing Ghali Shukri (1935-1998) as a critical model, we can read a stage of criticism at the Arab level. The experience of Shukri in the second half of the twentieth century, as much as it started from the Egyptian monetary experience, is problematic in the double cultural affiliation that dominates the Coptic heritage (Christian Egyptian formula), the Arab - Islamic heritage (the Arabic version of the Mediterranean) and optional forced and incompatible between Beirut and Tunis and Paris, in addition to cash his production and diversity of sequence between the reading of literary texts in cultural experiences like poetry, novel and criticism within the twentieth century, and read the ideas and values of the major categories in the culture of the twentieth century, such as the Renaissance, heritage and modernity and others. This is what makes it at the heart of the so-called "cultural studies". Although it is a sociological approach to culture, it is close to establishing an early model of cultural studies and placing it in the ranks of the second generation of "postcolonial” critics.
