|b At the beginning the interest in the aesthetics of the literary text was the centeral concern of criticism, but later on a leap in the area of critical studies occurred by the transmission to the field of cultural studies and the focus on the cultural context in literary texts. It was a turning point in the critical studies, from the literary criticism to the cultural criticism, and from the central of the text to the power of culture, and from official literature to the public one. The Cultural criticism is based on the idea of criticizing the cultural patterns of literary texts, these systems that vary between the visible and the implied, and the implied disappear behind the visible ones. This study is concerned with studying a literary genre known by its popularity in the Arab heritage, I mean anecdotes. But I will focus on Djuha's anecdotes to study it a cultural study in order to extract implied patterns that made them successful cultural popular texts.
