المستخلص: In this paper, I tried to shed lights on The Intellectual and Cultural Dimension of Metaphor in Cognitive Rhetoric). In the first pages, I tried to present the cognitive ideas about Metaphor. I mentioned its definition, and dealt with where its importance comes from cognitively. After that, I explored the conceptual roots of Metaphor, and its applications in our daily life. In the following pages, I have shown how these Conceptual Metaphors reflected in the human discourse, in Saudi political discourse in particular. In the last pages, I tried to know how we can practically benefit from those visions in studying literary texts.
