إن التطور المادي الذي يعيشه الأفراد والمجتمعات، نتيجة لعوامل اجتماعية واقتصادية، أوجد وقت فراغ، مما يستدعي الوقوف عند هذه الظاهرة، لذا تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تعرف حجم وقت الفراغ الذي تمتلكه الطالبة الجامعية في مدينة جدة، والأنشطة الترويحية التي تمارسها، والعلاقة بين التخصص ونوعية الأنشطة الترويحية. وقد طبقت هذه الدراسة على مجموعة من طالبات جامعة الملك عبد العزيز في مدينة جدة، موزعة بين كلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية وكلية العلوم، حيث بلغ حجم العينة (350) طالبة، أما المنهج الذي استخدم في الدراسة فهو المسح الاجتماعي للعينة العمدية، وكانت الاستبانة هي أداة جمع البيانات. ومن خلال تحليل بيانات الدراسة الميدانية وجدت كمية فراغ كبيرة لدى الطالبات، ففي أيام الدراسة لديهن (4) ساعات وتزيد إلى أكثر من (6) ساعات في أيام الإجازات في اليوم الواحد. كما أظهرت الدراسة أن الأنشطة الترفيهية تأتي في مقدمة الأنشطة التي تمارسها الطالبة الجامعية، يليها الأنشطة الاجتماعية والرياضية، وأخيرا الأنشطة الثقافية، كما لوحظ أنه لا يوجد فرق في ترتيب الأنشطة الترويحية والتخصص. وتوصي الدراسة بالاهتمام بأوقات الفراغ، وذلك من خلال توفير الأنشطة الترويحية التي تعود بالنفع على الفتيات بصفة خاصة والمجتمع بصفة عامة.
The notable development that individuals and communities are living now due to social and economic factors resulted in free time and raises a phenomenon that requires questioning. The present study aims at identifying the size of the free time, which a university student is spending in Jeddah city, and recreational activities she is practicing to track the relationship between specialization and the type of recreational activities. The study was applied to a group of students from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, distributed between the College of Arts and Humanities and the College of Science. The size of the sample reached 350 students. The approach of the study was the social survey of the intended sample and the questionnaire was the data collection tool. By analyzing the data of the field study, it was found that there was a huge amount of leisure time among female students. During school days, Students have Leisure time amounts up to 4 hours that increase to more than 6 hours on holidays. The study also showed that recreational activities came at the top of the activities the college student practiced, followed by social and sport activities, then followed by cultural activities. It was also found that there were no relationships between recreational activities and specialization. The study recommends that there should be an interest and attention to the leisure time through providing recreational activities that are beneficial to girls in particular and society in general.
