المستخلص: تعيش التربية العربية اليوم على هامش التقدم الحضاري وهي بمثابة المتفرج على هذا العالم بكل تحولاته العلمية وتقدمه التكنولوجي وليس مشاركا فعالا في هذه العملية. في حين أن الغرب وهو يلج الألفية الثالثة يحاول نقد الحداثة التي لم تعد صالحة لطموحاته المستقبلية وتعويضها بما يسمى اليوم بالوضع ما بعد الحداثي لم تتمكن التربية العربية استيعاب بعد معالم الحداثة الأولى
وبالتالي فإن التجاوب مع المعطيات الحضارية الراهنة يغدوا مستحيلا لتربية تقليدية تعاني من سلبيات التلقين والتسلط والإكراه فتحاول هذه الدراسة تسليط الضوء على السبل التي من شأنها بعث التربية العربية لتحقيق نهضة حضارية تعادل أو تفوق ما حققه الغرب اليوم وتتساءل إن كان بالإمكان إيقاظ العقل العربية من سباته العميق ليشارك بفعالية في عملية بناء جيل قادر على مواجهة التحديات الحاضرة والمستقبلية.

Arab education today lives on the sidelines of civilizational progress and is a spectator of this world with all its scientific transformations and technological progress, not an active participant in this process. While the West, as it is in the third millennium, is trying to criticize modernity, which is no longer valid for its future ambitions and to compensate it with what is called today the post-modernist situation, Arab education has not yet been able to absorb the first features of modernity. Therefore, responding to current civilizational data becomes impossible for a traditional education that suffers from the negative aspects of indoctrination, bullying and coercion. This study attempts to shed light on the ways that will revive Arab education to achieve a civilizational renaissance equal to or greater than what the West has achieved today and it questions whether it is possible to awaken the Arab mind from its deep sleep to participate actively in the process of building a generation capable of meeting current and future challenges.
