المستخلص: The petroleum market certified during last decade critical fluctuations in prices whether increasing or decreasing, as a result of number of factors, wherever prices of petroleum rise to about (150)$ to barrel, after it is in beginning the last decade about (25,3)$ to barrel. And taking into consideration that the economics of the Arabian countries that produce petroleum .The fluctuation of prices leads to long-run damages to these countries because petroleum and its financial income constitute the main source to financing of the economic development processes inside those countries, financing the investment and entering of modern technology in the petroleum range, in order to expand its productive power and provide the necessary funding in the coming stages of petroleum production like transportation, refining, and distribution. The search discusses the changes in prices of petroleum, through study development of petroleum prices in the period of 2001 to 2010, then showing the effective factors to prices of petroleum, and affect the changes in petroleum prices on Syrian economy. The study reach to petroleum role in Syrian economy is large and strategic, because its status in the economy on the whole, the fluctuations in prices of petroleum going back number of economic, political, security and commercial factors, and there are positive and negative affects to increasing of petroleum prices on the Syrian economic.

شهد سوق النفط خلال العقد الماضي تغيرات حادة في الأسعار ارتفاعا وانخفاضا، نتيجة مجموعة من العوامل والمؤثرات، حيث ارتفعت أسعار النفط إلى ما يقارب (150) دولاراً للبرميل، بعد أن كانت في بداية العقد الماضي حوالي (25.3) دولاراً للبرميل. وبالنظر إلى اقتصاديات الدول العربية المنتجة للنفط- ومنها سورية- نجد أن تغيرات الأسعار تقود إلى أضرار بعيدة المدى لهذه البلدان نظراً لكون النفط وعوائده المالية يشكلان المورد الأساسي لتمويل عمليات التنمية الاقتصادية داخل هذه البلدان، وتمويل الاستثمار وإدخال التكنولوجيا الحديثة في المجال النفطي بهدف توسيع طاقاته الإنتاجية، فضلاً عن توفير التمويل اللازم للاستثمار في المراحل اللاحقة للإنتاج النفطي كالنقل والتكرير والتوزيع. يتناول البحث دراسة التغيرات في أسعار النفط خلال الفترة 2001-2010، ومن ثم بيان العوامل المؤثرة على أسعار النفط، وأيضا أثر التغيرات في الأسعار على الاقتصاد السوري. وقد خلص البحث إلى أن للنفط دوراً كبيراً واستراتيجياً في الاقتصاد السوري، وأن التغيرات في أسعار النفط تعود إلى مجموعة من العوامل الاقتصادية والسياسية والأمنية والتجارية، وأن لارتفاع أسعار النفط آثار إيجابية وسلبية على الاقتصاد السوري.
