المستخلص: The project “Analysis and Management of Hybrid (PV/Wind) Power Systems Case Study - Iraqi Electric Power System” is a hybrid system of electric power generation consists of wind turbines total capacity of 100 MW with a parallel system that has the same capacity solar/pv system, to be a hybrid system with a 200 MW. Aimed at supporting Iraq's electrical system to compensate part of the energy lost in the country of study and increase the stability of the national grid in Iraq by creating a more suitable area for the establishment of such plants under the conditions that must be provided, taking into account limitations and obstacles for the establishment of similar systems. Most of the important virtues of these systems that the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by the system is equal to zero, as well as the amount of water consumed in the electric power generation is equal to zero. It was noted there are a lot of areas in the country of study, which lend themselves to the establishment of plants of the clean renewable energy, it is possible when you begin to operate these stations with high quality and clean energy generation and increasing the economy reference in the country of study. Fossil fuel saving, oil and gas, as a strategic storage for future generations or sell it and turn it into a money invested in the development of the country, Results were obtained that Iraq is in most regions, according to data from accredited international agency in renewable energy, sources Space Agency and NASA and NERL. results were that Iraq is a fertile environment for investment in renewable energy, particularly solar/pv and wind energy, and Iraq can be leader in solar.
