هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور تطبيقات وسائل التواصل في تنمية الوعي السياسي للمرأة السعودية حيث عادات وأنماط تعرض المرأة لوسائل التواصل الاجتماعي ودوافع الاستخدام، وأوجه الاستفادة من هذه الوسائل في تشكيل الوعي السياسي، ومعوقات تنمية الوعي السياسي لدى المرأة السعودية، كذلك التعرف على أهم المقترحات لزيادة فعالية وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في تنمية الوعي السياسي. وتنتمي هذه الدراسة إلى الدارسات الوصفية، حيث اقتضت طبيعة هذه الدراسة استخدام المنهج المسحي، وفي إطار هذا المنهج اعتمدت الدراسة على الاستبانة الإلكترونية كأداة للحصول على المعلومات الرئيسة للدراسة من أفراد العينة من الإناث السعوديات في مدينة جدة. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج من أهمها: أن درجة المعرفة السياسية لدى المرأة السعودية ضعيفة بشكل عام وأن السبب في ذلك قد يرجع إلى مجموعة من العوامل أهمها طبيعة التنشئة السياسية للمرأة في المجتمع السعودي. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن تطبيقات وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لها تأثير كبير على تنمية الوعي السياسي لدى المرأة السعودية عينة الدراسة مما يؤكد أهمية أن دور وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لا يقتصر فقط على الدور الاجتماعي والترفيهي وإنما يتجاوزه لأدوار أخرى أكثر فاعلية، حيث بات وسيلة للاطلاع على المعلومات والأخبار إلى جانب دوره التوعوي في شتى المجالات.
The aim of this study is to identify the role of social networking sites in developing the political awareness of Saudi women, where the habits and patterns of women's exposure to social media and motivation to use, how to use these means in shaping political awareness, and obstacles to the development of political awareness among Saudi women. Furthermore, to identify the most important proposals to increase the effectiveness of social networking sites in the development of political awareness. This study belongs to the descriptive studies that relied on the electronic questionnaire as a tool to obtain the main information of the sample from Saudi females living in Jeddah city. The study reached several results, the most important of which is that the degree of political knowledge among Saudi women is weak in general and that the reason may be due to several factors, the most important of which is the nature of the political formation of women in Saudi society. The study also found that the applications of social networking sites have a significant impact on the development of political awareness among Saudi women. This study confirms the importance of the role of social networking sites not only in the social and entertainment role, but also it plays significant awareness role in various fields.
