المستخلص: This article attempts to elaborate the methodologies adopted by the Islamic jurists of early era in a concise manner. It will reflect how they applied the Sharī‘ah Text and analyzed it, and what kinds of methodologies were applied by them for the explanation of Sharī‘ah Texts. Islamic Jurisprudence provides a set of rules derived from the sources of Sharī‘ah; when these rules are applied, a methodology emerges in this process. We mean by the methodologies, those endeavors made by the Islamic jurists to determine the objectives of the Law giver. This article aims to provoke people into thinking and accept certain realities. These methodologies essentially aimed to prevent Ummah from deviation. And applying certain norms invested them with a uniformity of perspective in the understanding of Sharī‘ah texts.
