ونظراً للآثار السلبية الناجمة، عن قصور الانتباه مفرط الحركة فقد أصبح يشكل مشكلة تؤرق كثيراً من الوالدين والمعلمين، ومن يتعامل مع هؤلاء الأطفال داخل الأسرة والمدرسة، وخاصة في حالة إغفال التدخل التربوي العلاجي، فقد يؤدي هذا الاضطراب إلى مشكلات أكاديمية وسلوكية وانفعالية واجتماعية متعددة ولذلك رأى الباحثان ضرورة الاهتمام بهؤلاء الأطفال وضرورة إعداد البرامج الخاصة بهم للتقليل من حدة هذا الاضطراب. فهدف البحث إلى التحقق من تأثير برنامج مبني على التنظيم الذاتي والتعلم النشط والمهارات الرياضية في تخفيف حدة النشاط الزائد وتحسن مهارات العاب القوى لدى تلاميذ الصفين الخامس والسادس الابتدائي بأسيوط، تكونت عينة الدراسة من (20) تلميذاً تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العمدية، من تلاميذ مدرسة درية الحسيني الابتدائية التابعة لإدارة أسيوط التعليمية للعام الدراسي 2007/2008، بمتوسط عمري (11.4) وانحراف معياري (1.18) وتم تقسيمهم مجموعتين تجريبية (10) تلاميذ وضابطة (10) تلاميذ، وقد استخدمت الدراسة الأدوات التالية اختبار المصفوفات المتتابعة لرافن (تقنيين أحمد عثمان صالح، 1988) مقياس نقص الانتباه مفرط الحركة صورة المعلم (ADHDT-T) (إعداد/ عبد الرقيب أحمد إبراهيم، 2007) مقياس نقص الانتباه مفرط الحركة صورة الوالدين (ADHDT-P) (إعداد/ عبد الرقيب أحمد إبراهيم، 2007) مقياس تقدير المعلم لكونرز (CARTS-28) (إعداد/ عبد الرقيب أحمد إبراهيم، 2007)، اختبار العدو 30م من البدء الطائر، اختبار دفع كرة طبية زنة 500جم، اختبار الوثب الطويل من الجري وبرنامج البحث (إعداد الباحثان) واعتمد الباحثان على الأساليب الإحصائية اللابارامترية للتحقق من كفاءة الأدوات المستخدمة لمعالجة النتائج وقد أسفرت النتائج عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات رتب درجات تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية والضابطة على مقاييس (نقص الانتباه صورة المعلم، صورة الوالدين، مقياس تقدير المعلم لكونرز، اختبارات مهارات العاب القوى قيد البحث) في القياس القبلي والقياس البعدي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، كما وجدت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات رتب درجات تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية قبل وبعد تطبيق البرنامج لصالح التطبيق البعدي في متغيرات البحث.
