المستخلص: This study aims to lay down the right mode of interpreting certain verses. These verses are often erroneously cited for the purpose of endorsing specific opinions or securing an edge over one's opponents in some debate involving an issue of current relevance. According to the findings of the writer, based on the survey of selected verses, this misinterpretation is caused by a departure from the rules of interpretation that have been agreed upon among the scholars of Islam. In addition to cautioning against this lapse, the writer also emphasizes adherence to the pristine linguistic norms of the early era to avoid such miscomprehension.
