Since the Prophet's ad th are the second source of Islamic law, it has always been the topmost concern of the Muslim scholars to collect, assess and preserve them. Great attention was also given to the interpretation of ad th and its bearing on the provisions of Islamic law. Since an acute understanding has been necessary for the legitimate interpretation of ad th, it was also deemed necessary to know the meaning of its words; because the source of the legislation the Prophet - peace be upon him - was profusely endowed with eloquence, and he has been the best and finest speaker of Arabic. This fact has led many scholars throughout history to investigate the meanings of ad th giving the meaning of alien words special care. All this is done to preserve this important legislative source. This study is intended to contribute to the field of ad th sciences, through the collection of extra-strange ad th in the book (Taj al-'Ar s) by al-Zab d, that are in excess to the Majma' Bir al-Anwr by Al-Fath. The study has come up with important results, chief among them are: 1- Al-Zab d has added forty more roots in his book T j al-'Ar s than al-Fath in his book Majma' Bir al-Anwr. 2- 2- Al-Zab d has followed in his book the model of Fayr z ab d in his dictionary al-Qam s al-Mu. 3- Zab d in his book has added forty-four names, which were not mentioned in the former source. |
