المستخلص: This paper highlights the importance of parenthetical sentences in the Qur'n as explained by the famous Spanish Exegete Ab ayy n in his work al-Tafs r al-Mu. The writer takes due notice of this discussion in the other outstanding work that highlights literary and linguistic significance of parenthesis in the Qur'n, namely, al-Kashsh f by al- Zamakhshar. The paper elaborates various grammatical and linguistic aspects of the status of such sentences in Arabic language in order to provide a background for appreciating its significance in the Qur'n. In the end, it sums up the contribution of Ab ayy n to this important part of exegetical discussion.
