المستخلص: This paper sheds light on the words used in the Qur’an for time and temporality. It examines the verses where various expressions conveying the sense of time have been used. It explains semantic meaning of these words and makes a comparison between the nuances present in them. The writer seeks to establish that every word in the Qur’an has been used in its suitable place to express a particular meaning that cannot be conveyed by any other word. He comes to the conclusion that there are no synonyms in Qur’an, as already held by the consensus of scholars.
