|b The aim of the current study is to identify the obstacles that confront scientific research in Jeddah University, particularly colleges of Alkamil branch. The study is mainly concerned with showing whether these obstacles vary according to gender, academic degree (Masters\ Ph.D.), specialization (scientific/ literary), years of experience, and the quantity of papers published by the academic stuff members during the period of work. The study sample consisted of 50 faculty members. The data analysis was accomplished using percentages, averages, standard deviations, and (TV F) tests in order to measure the differences between the responses of the study sample depending on the variables. The study found that there are some special obstacles related to the faculty members of Alkamil branch that include poor online services, the influence of the customs and traditions of the area that limit and restrict the researchers, in addition to the fact that the branch was established recently and its infrastructure is still unfinished, the absence of a library , the absence of a graduate studies program, and the difficulty to attend academic conferences and seminars due to the remoteness of the area from major cities. The study recommended resolving these problems and also recommended the development of a unit to supervise scientific research and observe researchers.

|a تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على معوقات البحث العلمي بكليات جامعة جدة فرع محافظة الكامل وهل تختلف المعوقات باختلاف الجنس- الرتبة العلمية (ماجستير- دكتوراه) -التخصص (علمي- أدبي) –سنوات الخبرة -عدد الأبحاث المنشورة أثناء فترة العمل بكامل، تكونت عينة الدراسة من 50 عضو هيئة تدريس، تحليل بيانات الدراسة تم باستخدام النسب المئوية والمتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية واختبارات T و F لقياس الفروق بين استجابات عينة الدراسة حسب المتغيرات، توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود معوقات خاصة بأعضاء هيئة التدريس بكليات فرع الكامل منها ضعف خدمات الإنترنت، وتأثير عادات وتقاليد المنطقة على تحرك الباحثات بالإضافة لحداثة إنشاء الكليات وعدم اكتمال بنياتها التحتية- عدم وجود مكتبة- عدم وجود برنامج دراسات عليا- صعوبة حضور المؤتمرات والندوات العلمية نسبة لبعد المنطقة عن المدن الكبرى أوصت الدراسة بضرورة حل هذه المشكلات كما أوصت بضرورة استحداث وحدة لرعاية البحث العلمي والباحثين بالكليات.
