المستخلص: Possession, as a cause for gaining the ownership, under the Jordanian civil law and under the other real estate laws, is characterized by the fact that the owner acquires the right to own the property and recover its expenses incurred to save the object of possession. It may also release the holder, in the case of good faith, from indemnity against possible damage. This is what is called the secondary effects of possession, or the indirect effects of possession. This paper mainly discussed the secondary effects of possession. For this purpose, the first section of this paper relates to the recovery of the holder of its expenses. In the second section, this paper is looking at the holder indemnity against damage or loss, and finally the third section discussed the holder’s possession of benefits.
