لقد كان من أهداف الدراسة الكشف عن طبيعة توازن التوزيع المكاني للخدمات الصحية في محلات المدينة السكنية بغية التعرف على مدى استجابة هذه الخدمات لمتطلبات السكان والتعرف على كفاية وكفاءة الخدمات الصحية كما ونوعا اعتمادا على المعايير التخطيطية مع تحديد مكامن الخلل في كل صنف من أصنافها ولتعرف على درجة رضا السكان عن طبيعة أداء وكفاءة هذه الخدمات بغية الكشف عن القصور الخدماتي الحاصل معالجته بما تيسر من سبل والعمل على تقدير احتياجات المدينة المستقبلية باستخدام المنهج الوصفي والتحليلي والاستنتاجي. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود خدمات صحية متنوعة في مدينة السليمانية إلا أنها تعاني من خلل في توزيعها المكاني بين محلات المدينة فمنها ما هو موزع بشكل عشوائي وغير منتظم كالمراكز الصحية ومنها ما هو متركز المدينة كالعيادات الخاصة والمختبرات والصيدليات بينما كان توزيع المراكز الصحية التخصصية جيدا وبالتالي فان الخدمات الصحية في مدينة السليمانية تعاني من خلل في توزيعها المكاني مما يؤشر سلبا على كفاءة وصول المواطنين إليها.
