المستخلص: ان الدراسة المستفيضة للملابس والأزياء ومكملاتها، تعطي الباحثة والمتتبع فكرة واضحة عن طبيعة الحياة اليومية للإنسان في كل عصر من العصور، حيث توضح ملابس الأفراد طبقاتهم الاجتماعية ومناصبهم ونوعيات تخصصاتهم، ثم ما يضاف إلى الملابس الخاصة ومنها ملابس الاحتفالات الدينية وملابس الحرب والصيد. وكانت الملابس تعكس بعض المفاهيم الفكرية ومنها المفاهيم السحرية ويدخل في هذا طبيعة استخدام الألوان ومفاهيمها ونوعية المواد الأولية المستخدمة في صناعة الملابس وعلاقاتها، مثل نبات الكتان ومراحل إنتاجه بدءاً من زراعته إلى مرحلة نسجه قماشاً ولبسه ثياباً. وعليه، فتعتبر الأزياء وصناعتها ومكملات المظهر الخارجي ككل، جزءاً وظاهرة من ظواهر الحضارة وهي أيضاً ظاهرة اقتصادية واجتماعية ونفسية. ولقد اعتبرت المظاهر الخارجية للأفراد سواءاً في الحضارات القديمة وخاصة حضارة العراق رمزاً لهم وصورة لعكس الشخصية والمنصب وتنوب أحياناً حتى عن شخص مالكها. أنها أيضاً جزء من الكيان البنائي أو المعماري للشكل وهي بذلك تحدد بطريقة عرضها في المنحوتات أو في الرسوم أسلوباً خاصاً لا ينفصل عن العناصر والمفردات الخاصة بالأساليب التشكيلية الأخرى.

The external manifestations of individuals, whether in ancient civilizations, especially the civilization of Iraq, were regarded as a symbol and a picture reflecting the character and position, and sometimes acting on behalf of the person of its owner. They are also part of the structural or architectural entity of the form and thus defines the way they are presented in sculptures or in drawings , a special style that is inseparable from the elements and composition of other forms.
