انطلاقا مما تعاني منه الأسر حديثة التكوين من ضعف في آليات التواصل؛ هدف البحث الحالي بصفة رئيسية إلى الكشف عن طبيعة العلاقة بين أساليب التفاوض المستخدمة في الأسر حديثة التكوين والكدر الزواجي بأبعادهما، حيث تم استيفاء البيانات من خلال تطبيق أدوات البحث والمتمثلة في (استمارة البيانات الأولية، مقياس أساليب التفاوض، مقياس الكدر الزواجي) على عينة عمدية غرضية قوامها (180) زوجة، من مستويات اجتماعية واقتصادية مختلفة من ريف وحضر محافظة الدقهلية، وبإجراء التحليلات الإحصائية المناسبة لاستخلاص النتائج توصل البحث لمجموعة من النتائج من أهمها تقدم أسلوب التسوية (الحل الوسط) على باقي أساليب التفاوض المستخدمة في أسر العينة، وصنف ما يقرب من نصف العينة ضمن فئة متوسطي الكدر الزواجي حيث مثل القصور في الخلفية المعرفية لمقومات الحياة الزوجية أهم أبعاد تلك الكدر، كما أسفرت النتائج عن وجود علاقة ارتباطية سالبة بين كل من الأسلوب التعاوني وأسلوب التسوية (الحل الوسط) والكدر الزواجي، بينما وجدت علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين الأسلوب التسلطي والكدر الزواجي، وعلى وجه آخر وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات عينة البحث في استخدام الأسلوب التسلطي تبعا لنوع السكن لصالح السكن مع أهل الزوج/ الزوجة، كما وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات عينة البحث في الأسلوب التعاوني تبعا لفارق السن بين الزوجين لصالح فارق السن الأعلى بينما كانت تلك الفروق لصالح السن الأقل في الكدر الزواجي، وكذلك وجد تباين دال إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات عينة البحث في الكدر الزواجي (ككل) تبعا لعمر الزوجة لصالح الفئة العمرية الأقل، إضافة إلى وجود تباين دال إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات عينة البحث في أسلوب التسوية تبعا لعدد الأبناء لصالح العدد الأكبر، وأخيرا وجد تباين دال إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات عينة البحث في الكدر الزواجي (صعوبة تسيير الأمور المالية) تبعا للدخل الشهري للأسرة لصالح الدخل المنخفض. وفي ضوء النتائج قدمت الباحثتان عددا من التوصيات التي توضح استراتيجيات غرس وترسيخ ثقافة التفاوض الإيجابي – الموجهة إلى القطاعات التعليمية والعلمية والإعلامية والجمعيات الأهلية – من أجل القضاء على مسببات الكدر الزواجي وتكوين بيئات أسرية داعمة لأفرادها.
