This study aimed to determine if there was a difference in the moisture content of Acetyl salicylic acid in bulk and pharmaceutical formulation, after a certain period of storage using three methods: (1)Loss on drying (2)Karl Fischer (3)Moisture balance The study was conducted on different brands of aspirin 300mg (Aspicima, Citypirin) as well as the raw material. It was found that less moisture content present in the raw material (3.27%) based on the results obtained and statistical analysis. Also a comparison between Aspicima 300mg and Citypirin 300mg have been done and showed that Aspicima contain less moisture content (3.61%) than Citypirin(6.44%) . |
