المستخلص: منذ ستينيات القرن العشرين شرعت الحركة الإسلامية بجنوب الفلبين في تحرير هذا الجزء من الوطن تحت قيادة الشيخ سلامات هاشم وفي حقبة السبعينيات اختارت الحركة العمل المسلح نهجاً لتحقيق أهدافها وبينما أطلقت الدولة اسم ((مورو)) على هذه الحركة؛ كان أعضاؤها يرون أن حركتهم لا تعدو أن تكون جهادا ضد حكومة ظالمة وعدوانية؛ ومع ذلك فإن محاولات تسوية النزاع سلميا لم تتوقف طوال العقود الأخيرة من القرن العشرين. وما زال الأمل معقودا على تحقيق سلام دائم وشامل. وهذه الورقة هي محاولة لطرح مشروع للسلام في ميندانا وعلى هدي التعاليم والصيغ الفكرية والسياسية التي دأب الشيخ سلامات هاشم على طرحها دون كلل أو ملل.

Since the 1960 s, the Islamic reform movement led by Shaykh Salamat Hashim has been actively working for the peaceful liberation of the Bangsamoro people in Southern Philippines. However, in the 1970s, this tuned into an active armed resistance against the violent “Filipination” policy of the Philippine Government. While the Philippine government considered it as the Moro struggle to secede from the Philippines, the Bangsamoro believed that they were waging a jihed (armed resistance) against the government to defend themselves from what they believed as injustice, oppression and aggression committed against them. Since 1970 s attempts to settle the conflict has preoccupied both the government and the revolutionary groups peace panels, but until now lasting peace is yet to be realized. In this article, the researcher attempts to explore the viable formula for attaining sustainable and lasting peace in Mindanao in the light of Shaykh Salamat Hashim s views about peace and war in Islam. The researcher asserts that Salamat Hashim’s formula is viable and most practical formula for attaining peace in Mindanao.
