وقد ظلت عملية اكتشاف الناشئين تخضع إلى قلة استخدام للأساليب العلمية عبر مراحل طويلة من التطور الحضاري للإنسان حيث اعتمدت على ألصدفه والملاحظة العابرة والخبرة الشخصية وغيرها من الأساليب غير المقننة أو المضبوطة علميا، للناشئين وهذا يؤدي إلى ضياع الجهد والمال والوقت وبما أن لعبة الجودو من الألعاب التنافسية التي تتطلب بعض القدرات البدنية ومستوى الذكاء الجسمي والتوجهات التنافسية تؤهل اللاعبين لتمثيل بلادهم في المحافل الدولية والحصول على نتائج متقدمة، وتلعب الاختبارات والمقاييس دورا هاما في انتقاء الناشئين للعبة الجودو، تهدف الدراسة إلى تحديد مجموعة قياسات واختبارات بعض القدرات البدنية ومستوى الذكاء الجسمي والتوجهات التنافسية ودافعية الإنجاز، لانتقاء ناشئي الجودو، ولا يجاد العلاقة ما بين الأداء المهارى والمتغيرات المبحوثة، بغية استنباط معادلة تنبؤية الأداء المهارى بدلالة المتغيرات المشار إليها لانتقاء ناشئي الجودو استخدم الباحث استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي بالأسلوب المسحي والدراسات الارتباطية والتي تعني المعرفة بارتباط المتغيرات أو معرفة إلى أي حد تتفق التغيرات في عامل أخر والتي تعد من الطرق النافعة في التنبؤ ويتحدد مجتمع البحث بالناشئين لعبة الجودو ،وهم المشاركون في بطولة الجمهورية والمناطق الجنوبية والحاصلون على المراكز المتقدمة التي يقيمها الاتحاد العراقي المركزي للجودو، وقد أقيمت التجربة على مراكز تدريب منتخبات المحافظات الجنوبية وقاعات تدريب الأندية في المحافظات الجنوبية، اهم الوسائل والأجهزة المستخدمة هي المصادر والمراجع العلمية واستمارة استطلاع الخبراء والمختصين ودمية مصارعة (20)كغم، وجهاز القياس القوة الديناموميتر وجهاز قياس نبض القلب وأجهزه أخرى يحتاجها لاعبي الجودو، تحديد القدرات البدنية ووضع المقاييس ذكاء الجسمي والتوجه التنافسي ودافعية الإنجاز وتحديد الاختبارات المطلوبة والأسس العلمية والقدرة التميزية الاختبارات والمقاييس ووضع درجات معيارية ومستويات لاعبين الناشئين ثم إيجاد علاقات ارتباطية بين المتغيرات ومصفوفة الارتباط البينية ونسبة مساهمة ما بين الأداء المهارى والمتغيرات المبحوثة ثم نستنبط معادلات الأداء المهارى بدلالة القدرات البدنية ومستوى الذكاء الجسمي والتوجه التنافسي ودافعية الإنجاز أما أهم الاستنتاجات فإن لمتغير الأداء المهارى علاقة طردية مع القدرات البدنية والذكاء الجسمي خلال ارتباط متعدد، وبسيط ومن خلال العلاقة تم إيجاد معادلة تنبؤيه وتقديرية للأداء المهارى تستخدم لانتقاء الناشئين في لعبة الجودو في العراق واهم التوصيات اعتماد المعادلة التنبؤية لغرض انتقاء ناشئين في لعبة الجود وأجراء دراسة مشابهة لفئة الشباب
