المستخلص: The research is a study of a subject of heritage, which manifests in citing Qur'anic recitals in classical Arabic dictionaries which were concerned with everything related to the Holy Quran, as a source from among the sources of evidential proof. I will highlight the importance of these types of indicative evidences, the extent to which the authors of the dictionaries rely upon them, and how they have benefited from them in respect to highlighting their lexical connotations within the chapters of their works, in addition to how they placed them into chapters, sections and explained them.
The aim of the research was to demonstrate the importance of evidential citing in Arabic, including to prove the existence of the word within the Arabic language, by evidence that it was contained in lines of poetry or well-known saying or statement, and to clarify the meaning of the word, because the context helps to determine the meaning of the word mentioned within it. It also aims to help the reader to identify issues of vocal, morphological, grammatical, linguistic and rhetorical worded expressions, especially when such a worded expression is used within the context of the text. The research concluded that indicative evidence is an intrinsic asset to recording and writing, that it is indispensable for students in linguistic and literary disciplines and that the books of heritage have relied upon them in all their works.

يمثل البحث دراسة لموضوع تراثي، يتمثل في الاستشهاد بالقراءات القرآنية في المعاجم العربية القديمة التي عنيت بكل ما له علاقة بالقرآن الكريم، مصدر من مصادر الاحتجاج، وسأبرز أهمية هذا النوع من الشواهد ومدى اعتماد أصحاب المعاجم عليه، وكيف استفادوا منها في إبراز دلالاتهم المعجمية في أبواب مصنفاتهم. وكيف بوبوها وقسموها وشرحوها.
وقد كان الهدف من البحث إظهار أهمية الاستشهاد في العربية، ومنها إثبات وجود الكلمة في اللغة العربية، بدليل ورودها في بيت شعري أو مثل سائر أو قول مأثور، وتوضيح معنى الكلمة، لأن السياق يساعد على تحديد معنى اللفظ الوارد فيه. ومساعدة القارئ على الوقوف على قضايا اللفظ الصوتية والصرفية والنحوية واللغوية والبلاغية، خاصة عندما يستعل هذا اللفظ في سياق النص. وخلص البحث إلى أن الشواهد أصل أصيل في التدوين والتأليف ولا غنى عنه لطلاب العلم في التخصصات اللغوية والأدبية وأن الكتب التراثية اعتمدتها في كل مصنفاتها.
