|a من الظواهر الفريدة التي نقلها علماء العربية ظاهرة إشمام الوقف، وهو ضم الشفتين بعد الوقف على الحرف المضموم ساكناً دون تصويت، وهدف هذا البحث الإجابة عن السؤال الآتي: هل أخذ هذا النوع من الإشمام عن العرب، أم هو من وضع العلماء بعدهم؟ أبرز البحث موقفين للعلماء تجاه هذه الظاهرة: أولهما: إثباتها للعرب، وهو موقف جل علماء العربية. والآخر: نفي أن تكون هذه الظاهرة مأخوذة عن العرب، وإنما هي من وضع النحاة أو قراء القرآن، وهو موقف القليل من العلماء، أقدمهم قطرب. وتوصل البحث إلى أن هذا النوع من الإشمام مأخوذ عن العرب وليس من وضع العلماء.

|b Ishmaamal waqf is one of the unique phenomena, which is conveyed by Arab scholars. Which means circling the two lips, without a sound after pronouncing the last letter saakin, indicating a dhamm. This research aims to answer the following question: Has this type of al ishmambeen taken from Arab or an innovating by Scholars after them? This research shows two different perspectives in relate to this phenomena. First of them is to prove this phenomena for the Arab, and this is the perspective of most scholars. And the other is deny that it has been taken from Arab and indeed it is the creation of Arabic grammarians and reciters of Qur’an. This is the perspective of few scholars, oldest of them Qutrub. This research concludes that this phenomenon has been taken from Arab, not the creation of scholars.
