العمران مفهوم يستخدم في الكثير من العلوم، وفي الجغرافيا فأن العمران هو السكن، تتباين الأحياء السكنية في خصائصها العمرانية بحسب المرحلة التي تمر بها المدن خلال مراحل توسعها المساحي والسكني لأن كل مرحلة لها خصائص عمرانية تميزها عن المراحل الأخرى سواء معدل مساحة قطعة الأرض أو مساحة البناء ونمطه وطرازه وتتأثر الخصائص العمرانية بالتطور العلمي والتقدم التكنلوجي فضلاً عن الحالة الاقتصادية أو الاجتماعية أو الحضارية للمجتمع الساكن في المدينة، ففي المراحل الأولى لنشأة مدينة الرمادي تميزت الخصائص العمرانية بالبساطة وعدم التعقيد من خلال استخدام مواد بناء محلية وتصاميم تحاكي العصر في تلك المرحلة، أما في المرحلة المعاصرة فأن الخصائص العمرانية تميزت بالحداثة والتعقيد بسبب التطورات الحاصلة في كافة مجالات الحياة وخاصة في مجال البناء والعمران. تضمن هذا البحث ثلاث مباحث سبقتها المقدمة، كان المبحث الأول بعنوان الخصائص الطبيعية والبشرية لمدينة الرمادي وتم التطرق فيه إلى نشأة المدينة بصورة مختصرة وتم تحديد الموقع الفلكي والجغرافي ومن ثم تناول خصائص الموضع للمدينة أما المبحث الثاني فكان بعنوان بعض الخصائص العمرانية للأحياء السكنية في مدينة الرمادي مثل معدل مساحة قطعة الأرض ومعدل مساحة البناء ونسبة التغطية لأحياء المدينة في حين تناول المبحث الثالث مساحة بعض الفضاءات المكونة للوحدة السكنية في أحياء المدينة واختتم البحث بأهم الاستنتاجات والتوصيات ثم قائمة المصادر التي تناولها البحث.
The construction is a concept used in many sciences and geography the construction is the residence. The residential districts vary in their constructional features according to the stages that the cities passed in through their residential and areal expansion, because each stage has constructional features distinct it from the other stages whether the average of the earth piece area or the building area and pattern. The constructional features affected by the scientific development and the technological progress in addition to the economic situation, social situation or status of civilization of the residential society in the city. In the first stages of the emergence of Al-Ramadi city, the constructional features characterized by the simplicity and lack of complexity through the use of local building materials and designs mimic the age at that stage, while in the contemporary stage, the constructional stage characterized by the modernity and complexity due to the developments occurred in all fields of life, especially in the field of building and construction. This research included three sections preceded by the introduction. The title of the first section was the natural and human features of Al-Ramadi city and in briefly it partook of the emergence of the city and in which the astronomical and geographical place and the place features of the city were determined. The title of the second section was some of the constructional features for the residential districts in Al-Ramadi city like the average of the earth piece area, average of the building area and the coverage percent for the city districts. The third section partook of the area of some spaces consisting the residential unit in the city districts. The research ended with the important conclusions and recommendations then the reference list.
